The name Welna Woningservice
Welna Woningservice komt voort uit twee succesvolle experts in tijdelijke sociale woningen: Ebeek en Ed’s interieurinrichting. De naam is ontleent omdat de oprichting plaatsvond op de Welnastraat in het Amstelkwartier in Amsterdam.
Al vanaf 1710 stond er op dezelfde locatie een woonhuis en een boerderij. De boerderij kreeg al snel de naam Welna. Deze buitenplaats, ver van het toenmalige Amsterdam heeft nog tot in het begin van de 20e eeuw bestaan.
