A Marathon with a sprint

A major improvement is underway in the characteristic Marathonbuurt neighborhood. Housing association Stadgenoot will begin this year with the sustainability improvements and upgrades of 302 homes on and around Marathonweg. Built around 1930, the homes are a recognizable part of the neighborhood. Through targeted maintenance and sustainability measures, the homes will be future-proofed. This includes improved insulation, more energy-efficient amenities, and general quality improvements.

The work is being carried out by contractor Biltz, who is responsible for the technical implementation of the project. During an intervention of this magnitude, proper support for residents is essential. Therefore, Welna Woningservice is providing temporary housing in thirty guest homes for residents who must leave their homes during the work.

Welna ensures that residents can count on fully furnished, comfortable temporary housing. Personal guidance is key. From arranging the move to providing a listening ear during the transition period, the goal is to minimize the impact on residents.
