Oud-Noord has scored twice!
The Bloemenbuurt in Amsterdam – also known as 'Oud-Noord' – is approaching the final phase of the projects on Heggerankweg and Kamperfoelieweg. At the end of 2023, two large-scale renovation and sustainability projects commenced: 108 homes by Eigen Haard (executed by QBuild) and over 80 homes by Stadgenoot (executed by Van Wijk). Welna supported these operations as a project partner through temporary housing, relocations, cleaning, furnishing, interior design, and Internet/TV services.
The homes date from around 1934, shortly after the Afsluitdijk in 1932 had ensured that tides were a thing of the past, making this an area ready for construction. Now, more than 90 years later, the homes have almost all been fully modernized – ready for the future, but retaining their character.
