Hard at work on social management

Sometimes projects can be captured well in a photo. Other work is less visible, but at least as crucial to the result. One of these is our role in guiding residents during our work. For example, in a Rochdale home, when mold was discovered under the floor. This was difficult for the resident to accept. Her initial reaction was understandable: what you don't see doesn't immediately feel like a problem. Nevertheless, the situation called for action, also with her health and peace of mind in mind.

The process required multiple conversations and clear explanations. Ultimately, it was decided in mutual agreement to temporarily accommodate the resident elsewhere. She stayed in a hotel for two months, during which the old floor could be removed and replaced and we could move her belongings. Upon completion of the work, she was able to return to her home.

The process was intensive and not easy, but through patience, empathy, and close collaboration between Rochdale, Coen en Hagedoorn, and Welna, a solution was reached that all parties could agree on. Processes of this kind demonstrate precisely how important social management is within our projects.
